We are excited to announce a new feature in Builder that streamlines the process of adding an "Additional Charge" to both new and existing pre-built operation variations. With this update, "Additional Charges" can be added to prebuilt operations and will automatically be included when that operation is added to a case, reducing the need to remember to add it manually afterward. We aim to make the experience of utilizing pre-built operations in Builder seamless.
Builder
Adding an Additional Charge Category to a Prebuilt Operation
Within Builder, search for and select the desired operation.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the desired variation of this operation.
Scroll down to the new Additional Charges section.
Fill in the Category, Description, and Amount fields then click +ADD. * Code is not required |
Utilizing a Prebuilt Operation with a Predefined Additional Charge Category
From within a case search for, add, and edit the operation variation that has the Additional Charge Category associated with it.
Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Operation page and locate the Additional Charges table to view the predefined Additional Charge category for this operations variation. |
Predefined Additional Charge Categories that do not exist in the Additional Charge Categories Admin list
A few notifications will highlight this mismatch if an Additional Charge Category is predefined, not listed in the Additional Charge Categories Admin list, and/or contains a typo.
* If this category does not exist in the Admin list and/or your DMS, then it may not export to your RO as expected and will have a Sales Tax rate of 0%.
From within a case search for, add, and edit the operation variation that has the Additional Charge Category associated with it. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Operation page and locate the Additional Charges table to view the predefined Additional Charge category for this operations variation. A warning banner will display and the Sales Tax rate will be set to 0.0.
Additional charges can still be added here as before. However, one is added that is not listed, a warning banner will appear and the Sales Tax rate will be set to 0.0.
Editing a category that was not found in the Admin list to a predefined category, will dismiss the warning banner, and the Sales Tax will be set according to what is defined in the admin page for that category. |
Administration
