Overview
APU and Refrigeration units generally do not have traditional odometers. To better track usage and maintenance accurately, the app now records engine and standby hours instead. These values are used for reports, repairs, and exports to systems like CDK, Karmak Fusion, DSI, and Decisiv API.
This applies to non-VIN assets identified by serial number.
What the Hours Mean
| Hours Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
Engine (Run) Hours | Total time the engine has been running. Helps schedule maintenance. |
Standby Hours | Time the unit has power, but the engine isn’t running. |
Switch On (On Time) Hours | Total time the unit is “on,” combining Engine Run + Standby Hours. |
What You’ll See in the System
Estimate screen
No odometer field.
You’ll see fields for Standby Hours and Switch On Hours instead.
Vehicle screen
No odometer field.
Fields for Standby Hours and Switch On Hours are shown.
This makes it easier to enter accurate usage information for these special assets.
How This Affects Reports & Exports
When generating Non-VIN ROs, the system now uses these hour fields instead of odometer readings.
Reports and exports to CDK, Karmak Fusion, DSI, and Decisiv API will show the correct usage for APU and Refrigeration assets.
