For the Case V8.40.0 Release, targeted for June 19th, we're planning the following improvements.
Tech Support Case # | Service Providers, Groups (including Field Service Managers), and Fleets can all now view, add, and edit Tech Support Case numbers directly from the Case details page. All changes will be captured in a read-only audit trail.
Approval Response Notifications | Will soon include Estimated Version and Total Amount, giving providers key details at a glance for faster decisions—no extra clicks needed.
- VIN Option for Default Search | You’ll soon be able to configure VIN as the default search field by navigating to Admin → Dealer Settings → Features.

Approval Request Notifications
Enhanced Approval Notifications We’ve improved approval response notifications to give you better visibility into key details—right when you need them.
What’s New: Approval response notifications now include:
- Estimated Version for clearer tracking of request revisions
- Total Amount to provide immediate financial context
Why It Matters:
- These enhancements make it easier to quickly understand and act on approval responses without needing to open the full record. By surfacing critical information directly in notifications, you can:
- Make faster, more informed decisions
- Reduce the need for additional clicks or follow-up
- Stay aligned on financial details throughout the approval process
VIN Option for Default Search
You can now select VIN as the default search field for assets. Configure this in Admin → Dealer Settings → Features to better align search behavior with how your team works — especially when VIN is your primary asset identifier.
What to Expect:
- VIN searches still require exactly 17 characters
- Clear validation messages for invalid inputs
- No changes to Serial, Unit, License, or Chassis ID behavior
