Isuzu Connect users can now effortlessly access fault data, taking charge of monitoring service progression and overall asset health!
Overview: Isuzu's new Advanced Diagnostics Feature offers both active and historical fault data. Users can access fault data present at the time of case creation by navigating to the Isuzu Connect Advanced Diagnostics section under the Faults tab on the Editing Case Screen. Live or near-real-time fault data is available through the Isuzu Connect Live Diagnostics section. Both areas allow users to access historical data.
Isuzu Advanced Connect Diagnostics:
- The Case Faults area is located in the top row of radio buttons in the case header area, to the right of Case Info (VMRS).
- If there are no active or inactive diagnostics readings a message explaining that will be displayed. It's important to note that faults displayed in the Isuzu Connect Advanced Diagnostics area are only shown for 24 hours once they have been reported.
- Isuzu Diagnostics Readings Include:
- ACTION / DETAILS: This area provides links (when the icon is highlighted blue) to snapshot data, recommended repair instructions, and a link to access Isuzu's Truck Service portal.
- Selecting the camera icon provides Snapshot data. Snapshot data comes from sensor or component readings (parameter values) captured at the moment when the telematics device detected a malfunction (when the icon is highlighted blue).
- Select the tools icon to access recommended repair instructions. The troubleshooting details are available when the icon is highlighted in blue.
- Selecting the link icon will direct users to Isuzu's Truck Service portal, where they can find additional details for Advanced Diagnostics.
- SEVERITY indicates the criticality of the diagnostic reading when the user hovers over the icon.
- STATUS provides an identifier indicating whether the diagnostic reading is active or inactive.
- DTC CODE provides the code associated with the diagnostic reading and offers a reference to the details in Isuzu's Truck Service portal.
- FAULT CODE DESCRIPTION provides a high-level description of the diagnostic reading.
- LAST DAY FAULT OCCURRED provides the latest date and time the diagnostic reading was captured.

Diagnostic History:
- You can always retrieve the diagnostic history through the Diagnostic History Area by selecting a date from the Read Date 1 dropdown menu.
- Selecting a Read date from the drop-down menu will provide a view of VEHICLE KEY DATA POINTS. Key Data Points support the historical diagnostic data by providing context around the operating conditions of the asset at the time of the reading.
ACTION/DETAILS, SEVERITY, STATUS, DTC CODE, FAULT CODE, DESCRIPTION, and COUNT details are also included with each historical diagnostic reading. (Refer to the Isuzu Advanced Connected Diagnostics article for further details on ACTION/DETAILS, SEVERITY, STATUS, DTC CODE, FAULT CODE, DESCRIPTION, COUNT).
- To compare two historical diagnostic readings, users can enter dates for both the Read 1 and Read 2 date menus.
Isuzu Connect Live Diagnostics:
- The Isuzu Connect Live Diagnostics area allows users to access the most recent diagnostic readings. When in the Live Diagnostics area, users can click the Import Faults button to retrieve the latest diagnostic readings.
- In addition to each diagnostic reading having a date and time stamp associated with it, the date and time for the latest reading are displayed in the lower left corner just below the readings.
