The best way to search cases, service requests, and assets depends on what information you already know and what you’re searching for. For example, if you know the unit number or VIN for the related asset - search by asset, if you know the status of the object - search by certain criteria.
If you’re looking for an asset or its cases, you can search for the asset by Unit Number or VIN using the search option in the menu bar. Click the search icon, select Unit Number or VIN from the dropdown, enter your search, and hit Enter.
The assets that match your search and any cases assigned to those assets will appear in a list.
By certain criteria
If you’re looking for cases, assets, or service requests that share a common property, use the favorites on the left side of the screen. Each one opens a different view based on common criteria such as severity or estimate status.
To search within a favorite, enter Ctrl-F on your keyboard and search using your browser’s search tool.

For entry fields
Some dropdowns allow you to search for a value and then select it from a list. To search for a value, begin typing it in the field. Objects that match your search will begin to appear in the dropdown.
You can continue typing to further filter your list. When you see your value, select it to populate the field with it.
